The WNBA's fifteen arenas

The WNBA is in the middle of its biggest expansion since the league began in 1997. The Golden State Valkyries arrived in 2025 at Chase Center; the Toronto Tempo and a revived Portland Fire tipped off in 2026; Cleveland, Detroit, and Philadelphia are coming by 2030. That makes fifteen home courts this season — fourteen in the United States and one in Canada — and a list that will keep growing for the next few years.

Most teams share a building with an NBA franchise, so the tour overlaps with the NBA arenas map: Barclays Center (Liberty), Crypto.com Arena (Sparks), Target Center (Lynx), Gainbridge Fieldhouse (Fever), Climate Pledge (Storm), Moda Center (Fire). The distinctive ones are the smaller rooms — Mohegan Sun Arena at a Connecticut casino, College Park Center on a university campus in Arlington, Gateway Center Arena in College Park, Georgia, and Toronto's Coca-Cola Coliseum, a 1921 exhibition hall.

A summer tour

The season runs May to October, which makes the WNBA tour the warm-weather counterpart to hockey and basketball: the same buildings, without the snow. Forty-odd home dates a team and the rise of marquee games since 2024 mean tickets sell faster than they used to, especially for the Fever and Valkyries. Codes follow the team and the three future franchises will be added when they play. Click an arena badge or its pin to mark it visited, again for want-to-go.

What's changing

Several teams are outgrowing their rooms. The Fever's home crowds at Gainbridge Fieldhouse have rewritten the league's attendance records since 2024; the Valkyries sold out Chase Center for their first season; and the Dallas Wings are moving from College Park Center in Arlington to a new downtown arena within a few years. Toronto's Tempo play at the Coca-Cola Coliseum for now with plans to move to Scotiabank Arena for bigger games, and the three expansion teams arriving by 2030 will each add a building. This is the one sports map where the list is more likely to grow than to shuffle, and it's regenerated each season.
